On this week’s “You’ve Got This,” I talk with Janet Carter about kids with disabilities and the value of playtime. Janet is a speaker, writer and a certified John Rosemond Leadership Parent Coach. She taught middle and high school English as well as homeschooling her own children. Janet served for 8 years as the children’s ministry director for Hope Church, developing the ministry from the ground up and working with families of young children. She lives in Richmond, Va., and is mother to four and grandmother to three.
“I think children were born to play,” Janet says. “I think play is the seeds in the ground that prepare a child to understand the words they’re going to get hit with later on in school.”
