Raising Self-Reliant & Confident Kids (Episode 82)

On this week’s “You’ve Got This,” I talk with Leah Remillét about how to help our kids be self-reliant. Leah is a dyslexic kid who grew up to be an international speaker and consultant dedicated to empowering others to live their best life. She is also the founder of The CEO Kid, an online academy that teaches kids timeless success principles through early entrepreneurial adventures. Leah is a wife and mom of three who happens to be obsessed with cheese boards, getting stamps on her passport, and impromptu kitchen-dance-parties.

“We’re starting to hear more about the need for kids to be self-reliant,” Leah said. “We used to laugh about how our kids or college students can’t do their own laundry, but it’s not funny anymore. As a society, we’re realizing that this concept of doing everything for our kids is handicapping them. It gives them a disadvantage by not making them learn these skills for themselves.”
