A Single Mom’s Guide to Balance (Episode 72)

On this week’s “You’ve Got This,” I talk with Dr. Sophia Reed about being true to yourself as a single mom. Sophia is an Amazon bestselling author for her single moms book, Fix It Jesus: For Single Moms Only. The Straightforward No-Nonsense Guide To Passion Purpose and Prayer. She has a master’s in marriage and family therapy, a Ph.D. in human behavior, a national certified counselor and a single mom. Her website Sophie-sticated Mom was founded to teach women to be BIBLE (Blessed, Intelligent, Beautiful, Limitless, And Education). Sophia teaches women, no matter who you are or what you came from (good or bad) that you be who you want, get what you want, and go the life you deserve.

“I became a single mom unexpectedly, and then everything just kind of went wrong,” Sophia said. “But I think that ultimately, me being a single mom led me to becoming a stronger person. … You are a mom but you’re still an individual. You still have things that you will want to do for yourself. There is still life and help. You can still date and get married, and have fun, and start a business, and go back to school, and whatever it is that you have in your mind. It might be a little bit more challenging, but you can still do it.”

Listen to the podcast for more insights and suggestions about juggling life and kids.
